Role Overview

We are expanding our US team in San Diego and seek a driven Field Application Scientist who will serve as the principal liaison between our users and international product teams. This position involves frequent travel to client locations to build trusted relationships, comprehend customer workflows, and ensure our solutions maximize value within the scientific community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct impactful product demonstrations and facilitate effective onboarding processes.
  • Promote customer success by regularly visiting pharmaceutical and academic laboratories and collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to optimize solution delivery.
  • Identify user needs and market trends to provide input on the product development roadmap.
  • Keep abreast of advances in computational biology to inform customer interactions and product enhancements.

Candidate Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Biological Sciences, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or related disciplines, with a keen interest in computational biology.
  • Excellent proficiency in both written and spoken English for effective communication.
  • Strong organizational capabilities coupled with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders efficiently.
  • Experience leading training sessions in-person and online.
  • Availability to work onsite at the San Diego office.
  • Knowledge of single-cell and spatial biology is advantageous but not required.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual salary range from $55,000 to $150,000.
