Job description

Role overview

Procter & Gamble is seeking a finance professional at graduate-entry level to join its Schwalbach am Taunus location in Hesse, Germany. The company has a long history dating back 185 years and is known for consumer brands used by billions of people worldwide. It places strong emphasis on internal growth, talent development, and a workplace culture that supports learning and personal development.

What this role involves

This opportunity is designed for candidates who want to build a career in finance within a large consumer goods business. Finance teams at P&G work closely with cross-functional partners and contribute directly to business planning and decision-making. From the start, you will own meaningful strategic work and help shape outcomes across commercial, operational, and financial activities.

Depending on the assignment, your starting point in finance may be in one of several areas, such as financial analysis for a brand or product category, customer business development finance, plant finance, financial accounting, or internal audit.

Typical finance entry paths

  • Financial analyst for a brand or product category within a local or regional organization, including fast-growing healthcare businesses
  • Financial analyst supporting customer business development
  • Plant financial manager focused on improving costs in manufacturing sites
  • Financial accountant
  • Internal audit analyst

Candidate profile

To be considered, you should already have a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree, or be on track to complete one before joining, with strong academic performance. The employer is looking for someone who is open to working at any DACH location and can accept full location flexibility across Schwalbach, Crailsheim, Kronberg, Worms, Euskirchen, Groß Gerau, Walldürn, Berlin, Marktheidenfeld, and Spittal a.d. Drau.

The ideal candidate combines strong numerical and analytical thinking with problem-solving ability, leadership drive, and genuine interest in finance. You should be comfortable working with diverse teams and bringing creativity, initiative, and innovation into your work. The role also calls for confident decision-making using available data as well as sound instinct. Strong written and spoken German and English at C1 level or above are required. Prior short work experience, internships, and study abroad exposure are considered advantageous.

Compensation and benefits

The position comes with an annual starting salary of €67,500, plus yearly performance-based salary reviews and an annual bonus beginning in the first year. Employment is offered on a permanent contract in a stable, crisis-resistant market.

Additional benefits include flexible and hybrid work options, Christmas and vacation bonus payments, a company pension plan, stock purchase programs, a job ticket, access to a campus canteen, fitness facilities, and well-being support services. You will also receive a tailored development plan with coaching, Finance Colleges, the P&G Leadership Academy, and training in financial concepts and business writing and presentation skills. Career growth is supported through role changes every two to three years and the possibility of working at the Geneva headquarters. Employees can also take part in network and community activities, leadership events, and sports groups.

Application requirements

Applicants are expected to prepare the following materials for the online assessment and interview process:

  • A CV submitted as a separate document
  • A cover letter for the specific role, if desired
  • A copy of the university diploma and transcript
  • Copies of relevant work, internship, or volunteering certificates and/or reference letters

All documents should be uploaded in the CV/Resume section. Missing documents may slow down the recruitment process.

Equal opportunity and accommodation

The employer maintains an inclusive hiring approach and welcomes candidates from all backgrounds. If you need support, you should request it before continuing with the online assessment and wait for a response regarding the accommodation request.
