Role overview
The Finance Senior Executive will support the end-to-end accounts payable process for the bank, ensuring invoices, employee reimbursements, and indirect tax submissions are handled accurately and on time. The role also contributes to closing activities, reconciliations, audit support, and process enhancement initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the full accounts payable workflow, including invoice processing, staff reimbursement claims, and indirect tax-related submissions.
- Act as the maker for invoice entries, staff reimbursement processing, and related tax items.
- Respond to questions from internal teams and external vendors or suppliers.
- Carry out payment processing using the correct payment method and review or approve payments through top-up memos.
- Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules to reconcile system outputs with accounting balances.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations needed for accurate reporting and audit readiness.
- Take part in improvement projects and system rollouts aimed at simplifying payment workflows and keeping processes aligned with statutory and business needs.
- Work with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and internal auditors as required.
- Assist the team with other tasks when assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma in accounting or a related qualification, or at least 1 year of experience in accounts payable.
- High accuracy, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work to tight deadlines with fast turnaround times.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a professional and positive approach to stakeholder relationships.
- Good analytical ability and implementation skills, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and support change in a complex environment.
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and sound ethical judgment.
