Job description
Overview
This role involves assisting with critical financial control and reporting activities within a leading company based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The position requires active participation in month-end and year-end closing procedures, detailed financial data handling, and coordination between various finance functions to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes as per the Financial Control & Reporting checklist.
- Assist in preparing journal entries, accruals, prepayments, provisions along with supporting schedules using SAP ERP.
- Support balance sheet reconciliation preparations and track essential balance sheet key performance indicators.
- Help investigate variances in Trial Balance by comparing current financial figures to previous periods.
- Support the creation of monthly financial reports, management information packages, and presentations on market performance.
- Assist in treasury operations such as payment processing, bank statement reconciliations, cash flow monitoring, and treasury report generation.
- Help monitor procurement and corporate card transactions ensuring they align with company policy and are backed by appropriate documents.
- Liaise with internal departments including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, and Financial Planning & Analysis teams concerning reporting and operation related issues.
- Provide assistance in preparing audit schedules and documentation to meet external and internal audit requirements.
- Support SAP ERP functions and financial data extraction for reporting and analysis needs.
- Organize financial records efficiently and ensure adherence to company policies and financial reporting standards.
- Engage in ad-hoc financial projects, analytical reviews, and business-focused reporting as directed.
