Financial Control and Reporting Specialist

Overview

We are offering a contract position for a Financial Control and Reporting Specialist based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves working with a governmental entity via a recruitment company.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit periodic and annual financial statements, including final accounts and supporting notes.
• Generate closing reports and financial analyses for relevant management departments.
• Perform and review monthly and annual financial closures.
• Prepare accounting adjustments, entries, and reconciliations.
• Verify account balances and subsidiary records, ensuring documentation is accurate and complete.
• Ensure adherence to financial policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
• Coordinate with different departments to resolve discrepancies and inquiries.
• Support external auditors and the audit committee by preparing required documents and responding to inquiries.
• Follow up on closing audit observations and recommendations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in financial control, financial reporting, or accounting.
• Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation and monthly/yearly closures.
• Familiarity with accounting standards and internal control procedures.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems.
• Analytical, well-organized, and skilled in report preparation.
