Job Summary

We are seeking a Full-Time First Shift Welder/Fitter to become part of our team. Welders at our company assemble finished products from various departments by reading blueprints to fit and weld components. Each item manufactured is customized and made to order, offering variety in daily work. The welding primarily involves flat MIG wire and out-of-position dual shield techniques on materials typically 3/16" to 5/8" thick, without use of fixtures.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety guidelines rigorously
• Perform MIG and dual shield welding
• Weld in multiple positions including flat, vertical, and overhead
• Inspect weld quality visually and grind or rework welds as needed
• Read and interpret prints, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials
• Handle materials and operate hand and plasma torches with provided training
• Assist other departments by cross-training
• Record job progress using a barcode scanning system
• Maintain department cleanliness and organization

Requirements

• Experience with print reading and fitting preferred
• Proficiency in flat MIG wire welding required
• Experience with out-of-position dual shield welding is favorable
• Willingness to travel up to one week per quarter for onsite installations and warranty service
• Valid driving ability for required travel

Additional Information
