Role Overview

As the inaugural Marketing Lead at Phonely, you will have full ownership of the marketing division, building it from the ground up within a fast-growing startup environment. Reporting directly to the founders, you will create and implement brand narratives, establish organic content strategies, and drive demand generation efforts to propel the company's growth and market presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and shape the company’s brand identity, messaging framework, and ideal customer profiles, overseeing website content and buyer persona development to enhance market clarity.
• Develop and sustain an organic growth machine through curated content pillars, regular publication schedules, and active thought leadership on social media platforms, blogs, and newsletters.
• Initiate and execute demand generation initiatives that integrate SEO, public relations, and paid marketing campaigns, including collaboration with external agencies.

Candidate Profile

• At least five years of progressive marketing experience, particularly in building marketing functions from scratch within early-stage startups.
• A broad marketing skill set with strengths in brand strategy, content marketing, growth tactics, and demand generation, capable of handling strategic planning and hands-on implementation.
• Experience in B2B SaaS or technology sectors with a strong interest in voice AI technologies and their transformative potential.

Additional Information

• This position is based in San Francisco, USA.
• Compensation ranges from $140,000 to $200,000 annually, with additional equity options.
• As the first marketing hire, you will interact closely with the founding team and work within a compact, fast-paced startup team of 12 members.
