About the Role
Dreamscape Hospitality is hiring a Front Desk Supervisor for its Rooms department in Lafayette, LA. In this non-exempt role, you will lead front desk operations, support guest satisfaction, and guide a team of front desk agents. The position focuses on delivering smooth arrivals and departures, maintaining service standards, and keeping the front office running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and support front desk team activities, including work schedules, onboarding/training, and ongoing performance oversight.
- Manage check-in and check-out procedures so guests are served quickly and professionally.
- Respond to guest concerns and complaints with speed and care.
- Keep guest information accurate and oversee cash handling as well as card-based transactions.
- Work with other hotel departments to create a seamless guest experience.
- Maintain a tidy, orderly, and well-presented front desk area.
- Assist with hotel marketing and promotional activities when required.
- Follow hotel policies and procedures, including safety and security expectations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required; hospitality management education is an added advantage.
- Prior experience in hotel front desk operations or in a supervisory capacity is preferred.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage several tasks at once in a busy, fast-moving environment.
- Good problem-solving ability and strong attention to detail.
- Comfort using hotel management systems and Microsoft Office tools.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to remain standing or seated for extended periods.
- Should be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks.
Compensation
Pay is competitive and will depend on relevant experience.
