Role overview
This position supports a locally owned and operated Shoppers Drug Mart store in delivering health, beauty, and convenience services while keeping customers at the heart of daily operations. The role centers on leading customer service activities and overseeing cashier and merchandising functions.
Key responsibilities
The supervisor is responsible for ensuring front-store operations run smoothly, including staff support, loss prevention, merchandising standards, and customer issue resolution.
Human resources
- Make sure cashier and merchandising team members follow store policies and operating procedures.
- Provide training to cashiers and merchandisers on their day-to-day responsibilities.
- Offer ongoing direction, coaching, and support.
Loss prevention
- Implement loss prevention standards and oversee daily cash office inventory, cashier monitoring, tracking sheets, and PC Optimum procedures.
Customer service
- Ensure store staff maintain a professional appearance in line with the uniform policy.
- Respond to customer questions about product locations, rainchecks, and similar requests.
- Handle customer concerns such as refunds and exchanges according to established guidelines.
- Encourage participation in the CSI survey.
Merchandising
- Keep shelves neat, organized, and properly rotated.
- Set up and remove product displays as directed by the AFSM or FSM.
General duties
- Maintain store cleanliness, housekeeping standards, and overall store presentation.
- Follow all health and safety requirements.
- Carry out clerical and banking tasks when needed.
- Adhere to all store policies, procedures, and loss prevention practices.
- Complete other assigned tasks, including cashier duties when necessary.
Qualifications and work style

Compensation and workplace information
The hiring range for this position is CAD 15.00 to CAD 16.00 per hour. Pay may vary depending on experience, knowledge, and the geographic area of the store. This is a newly created position. The company may use artificial intelligence to help screen, assess, and select candidates.
