About the Company

Remitbee is a fast-growing fintech company headquartered in Canada. The team is looking for a full stack developer who is enthusiastic about technology, motivated by meaningful work, and interested in helping build innovative products in a collaborative environment.

Role Overview

The position is for a full-time full stack developer with at least 3 years of experience, with hands-on exposure to both backend and frontend development.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Contributing within an agile product team that includes developers, QA, DevOps, and founders.
  • Building new systems and modernizing older ones using current technologies to meet evolving business needs.
  • Investigating business and technical requirements and comparing possible solution paths before recommending suitable designs and tools.
  • Creating and maintaining test cases as part of development work.
  • Taking part in, or leading, the complete software development lifecycle from analysis and design through coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.

Skills and Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience working with backend technologies such as Node.js and Express.
  • Practical experience with databases and ORM tools including SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Sequelize.
  • Exposure to frontend development tools and frameworks such as React JS, Next JS, and Material UI.
  • Familiarity with automation tools like Grunt or Gulp.
  • Ability to follow solid engineering practices such as test-driven development, integration testing, version control, release management, and estimation/planning.
  • Experience integrating and working with APIs, including REST, GraphQL, or SOAP.
  • Working knowledge of Git.
  • Strong focus on code quality, with testing and documentation built into the normal workflow.
  • Open-source contribution experience is an advantage.
  • Good communication skills, self-motivation, and a willingness to learn and collaborate.

This is a full-time onsite role based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
