Position Summary

We are seeking a full-time Janitor to maintain cleanliness and orderliness within our facilities located at Ascension St Thomas Dekalb, 520 West Main Street, Smithville, TN 37166. This role involves comprehensive cleaning duties to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning, including dusting, damp mopping, and sanitizing all assigned areas using designated materials and equipment.
• Collect, handle, and dispose of trash in compliance with infection control and approved procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture as necessary to facilitate effective cleaning and restore them to their original positions.
• Clean walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other surfaces to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Execute the eight-step cleaning procedure consistently to ensure proper sanitation.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors, as well as shampoo carpets as needed.
• Identify areas requiring cleaning proactively and take initiative to address them.
• Fulfill all duties as directed by the supervisor while adhering to federal, state, and local guidelines.
• Exhibit professionalism and contribute positively within the team and with customers and colleagues.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience in janitorial or cleaning roles is preferred but not mandatory.

Work Schedule

Full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Additional details will be provided during the interview process.

Compensation

The hourly wage range is $15.00 to $15.25 per hour.
