Role Summary

The Graduate Electrical Engineer will gain practical exposure to design, delivery, commissioning, and support activities related to EV charging infrastructure projects. Working alongside seasoned engineers and interdisciplinary teams, the role develops technical proficiency while aiding the deployment of progressive electric vehicle charging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the sales team during pre-sales, such as preparing proposals and technical documents and offering solution recommendations.
• Create CAD and electrical schematics for EV infrastructure, ensuring adherence to safety, technical standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform electrical feasibility studies including power availability assessments, load calculations, energy management evaluations, and network capacity analyses.
• Assist with setting up and integrating EV chargers with software platforms and backend systems.
• Support connectivity configuration across 4G, Wi-Fi, and LAN networks, including troubleshooting communication issues.
• Collaborate with support and operations teams to onboard charging stations into monitoring and management systems.
• Participate in EV charger commissioning by verifying performance, functionality, and compliance to standards.
• Work alongside installation partners and project stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
• Monitor charger performance, respond to system alerts, diagnose faults, and aid in resolving technical problems.

Key Relationships

• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, and Project teams for site activities.
• Engage with installers, project managers, engineers, and field technicians to address technical issues.
• Provide technical expertise to the Customer Support team.
• Liaise with site contacts and clients to arrange site access and ensure excellent customer experience.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify continuous improvement opportunities.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Valid driver's license and readiness to travel to customer and project locations.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, switchboards, and communication protocols.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency with software tools for configuration, diagnostics, and documentation.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering teamwork and client collaboration.
• Commitment to safety, quality assurance, and compliance standards.
• Passion for renewable energy, electric vehicles, and sustainable technology adoption.

Desired Experience

• Experience or familiarity with EV charging infrastructure and related electrical systems.
• Understanding of OCPP or other EV charging communication protocols.
• Competency with AutoCAD or comparable design software.
• Exposure to electrical equipment commissioning, testing, or troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of networking technologies, including 4G, Wi-Fi, and LAN setups.
