Ground Worker

Role Overview

WPS is seeking a skilled and reliable Groundworker/Hard Landscaper to become part of our expanding team. This role is based in Redditch, Worcestershire, working across social housing properties to deliver maintenance, repair, and improvement projects that positively impact the community. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in groundworks, adopt a proactive work ethic, and prioritize both craftsmanship and client service quality.

Key Duties

• Install, repair, and re-lay concrete flagging and various types of paving.
• Perform light brickwork repairs, repointing, and minor masonry tasks.
• Install, renew, and repair timber fencing including closeboard and panel types.
• Conduct responsive maintenance and repair jobs on both occupied and vacant social housing properties.
• Ensure all tasks are carried out safely, efficiently, and to established quality standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with residents, coworkers, and management.

Candidate Requirements

• Holding a full UK driving licence is mandatory.
• Possess NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Groundworks, Hard Landscaping, or a related construction trade, or demonstrate comparable hands-on experience.
• Experience in domestic, residential, or social housing maintenance environments is essential.
• Capable of working independently with initiative and also collaboratively within a team.
• Strong analytical skills coupled with keen attention to detail.
• Dedication to producing outstanding workmanship and excellent customer service.
