About the Role
A leading, publicly listed multinational company based in Dublin West is seeking a technically proficient and ambitious finance professional to take on the role of Group Financial Controller. This role is a key leadership position within the Group Finance team during a period of significant growth driven by both organic initiatives and strategic acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the group's external financial reporting and consolidation processes, guaranteeing accuracy and punctual delivery of financial data.
- Maintain rigorous financial controls and ensure compliance with IFRS standards.
- Engage directly with senior leadership, providing insights that support strategic financial decisions.
- Play a pivotal role in acquisition activities, including conducting financial due diligence, managing acquisition accounting, and integrating new businesses into the group.
- Drive ongoing enhancements in reporting mechanisms, financial systems, and internal controls.
- Manage and develop a high-performing Group Reporting team consisting of four members.
Candidate Profile
- ACA or ACCA qualified with foundational training in a Big 4 accounting firm.
- Approximately five years of post-qualification experience within a Group Finance function, preferably within a publicly traded or complex multinational environment.
- Strong expertise in technical accounting, IFRS, and financial consolidation procedures.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and a proactive mindset aimed at continuous process improvements.
