About the Role
Begin your professional journey with Honeywell Aerospace in Singapore (Joo Koon location) as a Handfinisher. The role involves working with aerospace components to ensure precise finishing before and after machining.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out deburring, polishing, blending, and hand finishing tasks on aerospace parts aligned with Manufacturing Operations & Tooling standards, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Interpret and follow basic technical manuals, drawings, and process instructions accurately to maintain quality and specifications.
- Ensure finishing activities meet dimensional, cosmetic, and quality criteria as outlined by technical and process standards.
- Operate and assist with equipment such as sand blasting, lapping, drilling, tumbling, vapor degreasers, and other finishing tools as needed.
- Utilize hand tools and finishing devices including grinders, polishing instruments, engraving pens, and precision tools safely and efficiently.
- Perform visual inspections and simple measurements to verify compliance with customer and aerospace quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the workspace, adhering strictly to 5S, TPM, safety, and quality protocols.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities like Kaizen to enhance productivity and minimize waste.
- Complete all relevant production paperwork accurately and abide by operational guidelines.
- Work closely with machinists, quality inspectors, manufacturing engineers, and supervisors to address any workmanship or quality issues.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum completion of N-Level, O-Level, SPM, or an equivalent certification.
- At least 2 years of experience in polishing, deburring, blending, or hand finishing, preferably within aerospace or precision engineering sectors.
- Previous exposure to mechanical trades or manufacturing environments is an advantage.
- Proficient in using hand tools and polishing equipment.
- Capable of reading and interpreting basic technical drawings, manuals, and instructions.
- Basic computer skills; familiarity with SAP is a plus.
- Knowledge of 5S, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma methodologies is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and dedication to quality workmanship.
- Effective communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to thrive in a fast-paced production environment.
- Open to overtime and working permanent morning shifts (7:00 AM – 4:18 PM) as needed.
