About the Role

The Qatar Olympic Committee is recruiting a Head of Studies Unit to spearhead strategic research and analytical projects. This role involves delivering in-depth analyses and formulating recommendations that aid decision-making and enhance institutional performance.

Qualifications & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Economics, Social Sciences, or a closely related discipline.
  • Preferably holds specialized certifications or training in strategic studies, data analysis, or planning.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English for speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Advanced skills in report writing and presentation development.

Experience Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in studies, research, and analytical roles.
  • History of preparing analytical studies, detailed reports, and actionable recommendations.
  • Experience within sports sectors, federations, or related organizations is advantageous.
  • Skilled in data gathering, analysis, and coordinating with diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive technical and analytical sports research on championships, events, athletes, and participation, providing appropriate recommendations.
  • Perform institutional research related to organizational policies, procedures, projects, and governance frameworks.
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of data and information obtained from departments and federations.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable regulations, procedures, and international standards.
  • Review and provide input on agreements and memoranda of understanding by collaborating with relevant parties.
  • Compile periodic reports summarizing performance, achievements, and suggestions for operational enhancements.
  • Collect and analyze data from various relevant sources for informed insight.
  • Track implementation progress of studies and recommendations with concerned entities.
  • Prepare executive summaries and discussion points for meetings concerning unit affairs.
  • Lead the unit's team outputs and foster the unit's continuous improvement.
  • Undertake other responsibilities assigned by supervisory management.
