Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor

Role overview

This position is responsible for checking guest rooms, shared areas, pool spaces, and other cleaned areas to confirm they meet brand standards. The role also supports day-to-day housekeeping operations and helps keep room status information accurate and up to date.

Key duties

• Review guest rooms and public spaces after cleaning to ensure quality is consistently maintained.
• Check sold room reports, confirm room conditions, identify mismatched room statuses, and prioritize rooms that need attention.
• Update the status of rooms for departing guests and coordinate room readiness.
• Support housekeeping leadership with daily operational tasks.
• Serve as the point of coordination between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry teams.
• Record and help resolve room discrepancies with the Front Desk.
• Prepare, share, and communicate changes in room assignments.
• Pass important updates to the next shift.
• Complete all required documentation and paperwork.
• Assist in recruiting, training, scheduling, evaluating, coaching, counseling, disciplining, and motivating team members.

• Follow all company, safety, and security procedures at all times.
• Report maintenance issues, safety risks, accidents, and injuries without delay.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a neat, professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Protect confidential information and company property.
• Greet guests warmly and respond to service needs with genuine care.
• Support guests with disabilities and thank all guests sincerely.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with others.
• Build positive working relationships and respond appropriately to coworkers' concerns.
• Meet quality expectations and brand standards in all work.

Physical and technical requirements

• Be able to move, lift, carry, and place items up to 55 pounds without help and heavier items with assistance.
• Push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and related equipment across slopes and uneven surfaces.
• Reach above the head and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for long periods during a full shift.
• Handle objects of different sizes and weights with good hand-eye coordination and fine motor control.
• Use computers and/or point-of-sale systems to enter and locate work information.
• Read and verify information visually, including small print.
• Carry out other duties assigned by supervisors.
