Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment within our nursery setting. The role involves general cleaning duties, ensuring high standards of hygiene, and contributing to a nurturing atmosphere for children. This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning tasks to ensure the nursery is consistently clean and well-maintained.
- Uphold a high standard of hygiene throughout the entire facility.
- Contribute to creating a secure and nurturing space conducive to children's learning and development.
- Collaborate with fellow staff members to address the unique needs of each child.
- Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness, organization, and upkeep of the nursery environment.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations to safeguard the well-being of children and staff.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Cleaner or Housekeeper, preferably in an educational setting.
- Familiarity with Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team.
- Possession of patience, empathy, and a genuine enjoyment of working with children.
- Understanding of relevant childcare regulations and legislation, such as Safeguarding protocols.

Additional Information
