Key Responsibilities

• Deliver attentive, non-medical care tailored to each client's specific care plan.
• Provide companionship through engaging conversations, reading, activities, and social interaction.
• Support clients' emotional well-being and cognitive engagement.
• Undertake light housekeeping duties, including vacuuming, dusting, laundry, and bathroom sanitation.
• Prepare meals for clients.
• Monitor and report any changes observed in a client's physical, emotional, or mental condition to the appropriate parties.
• Maintain clear and professional communication channels with clients and the care team.
• Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and submitted promptly.
• Engage in ongoing training, attend staff meetings, and participate in continuing education opportunities.
• Uphold strict confidentiality and ensure safe operation of all equipment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma as a minimum educational qualification.
• Hold a valid CPR and First Aid certification, or be willing to obtain and maintain one.
• Successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check.
• Having reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with insurance is advantageous.
• Demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and a strong commitment to client care.
• Exhibit the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Possess strong communication skills and the capacity to follow both written and verbal instructions.
• Show a genuine passion for assisting others, coupled with high standards of honesty and integrity.

Physical and Working Environment

• The role involves regular physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and performing light lifting (up to 12 kg or 25 lbs).
• Requires manual dexterity and strength in both hands.
• Potential for exposure to bloodborne pathogens or infectious diseases may exist.
