About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned HR Generalist to join BSI’s People team, providing comprehensive HR support across one or more countries. This key position involves managing all employee lifecycle aspects, including onboarding, payroll coordination, employee relations, benefits, and HR operations. Operating within a global matrix structure, you will ensure consistent, high-quality employee experiences while aligning local employment laws with global HR policies. Additionally, you will support local HR Administrators to ensure efficient service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as primary HR contact for employees and managers across assigned nations.
- Oversee full HR operations including onboarding, employment contracts, benefits, leave administration, payroll coordination, and offboarding procedures.
- Ensure precise maintenance of employee records and compliance with country-specific HR documentation standards.
- Offer initial advisory on HR policies, procedures, and employee lifecycle events.
- Assist managers with routine HR processes and best practice implementations.
- Coordinate payroll inputs supporting monthly payroll activities.
- Manage employee relations issues, escalating complex cases appropriately.
- Stay informed on local labor laws to maintain compliance with legislation and organizational policies.
- Facilitate the execution of regional/global HR projects including leadership development, system upgrades, and performance management processes.
- Build collaborative relationships within the People team and wider business units for seamless employee engagement.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support HR service excellence.
- Provide guidance and daily operational support to local HR Administrators as needed.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a generalist or operational HR role.
- Thorough knowledge of employment laws, HR policies, and routine people processes.
- Proven experience in global or matrixed organizational environments.
- Competent in using HR/Human Capital Management systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong organizational abilities with capacity to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Maintains high standards of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality handling sensitive information.
- Analytical problem-solver exercising good judgment in complex situations.
- Proficient in business English and the local language(s) pertinent to the assigned countries.
Preferred Qualifications
- HR-related certification or academic qualification.
- Experience supporting multiple countries or regional HR operations.
- Background in employee relations or close work with ER teams.
- Involvement in HR transformation projects or process optimization efforts.
Additional Information
This position is open to candidates located in UAE or Qatar, with UAE roles restricted to Emirati nationals possessing local citizenship and an unrestricted right to work. BSI does not offer sponsorship or relocation assistance.
BSI provides an attractive total compensation package, including flexible working hours and continuous professional development opportunities. The annual salary for this role ranges from 181,500 to 242,000 AED or 205,800 to 294,000 QAR, negotiable based on qualifications, experience, and market standards.
