Role Overview

This Human Resources Advisor position is based in Perth with a hybrid working arrangement and reports to the HR Advisory Manager. The role is centered on end-to-end handling of a large volume of complex employee relations matters across a varied operational environment. It is well suited to an experienced HR professional who performs well in a fast-moving setting with significant case volume and who can provide practical, commercially balanced guidance on sensitive workplace issues.

As a trusted partner to leaders, you will help manage difficult and high-risk people matters while applying sound judgement, resilience, and strong prioritisation skills. The position requires consistent quality, alignment with employment legislation, and a solutions-oriented mindset that balances employee risk, business needs, and legal obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage employee relations cases from start to finish, ensuring matters are handled thoroughly and efficiently.
  • Support leaders with a wide range of workplace issues, including performance improvement, misconduct, disciplinary action, investigations, grievances, dismissals, and dispute resolution.
  • Provide clear, practical, and commercially sensible HR advice tailored to operational realities.
  • Work with multiple stakeholder groups across skilled and non-skilled workforces.
  • Maintain consistency, compliance, and sound judgement when dealing with complex and high-risk matters.
  • Balance business outcomes, employee considerations, and statutory requirements in daily advisory work.

Experience and Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline, with strong exposure to employee relations and case management.
  • Proven experience giving solution-focused HR and ER advice across varying levels of complexity.
  • Confidence supporting leaders through sensitive workplace processes and high-pressure situations.
  • Experience working with a broad range of stakeholders in large, multi-site, or national organisations is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of the Fair Work Act, the National Employment Standards, and industrial instruments.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Intermediate experience with SAP SuccessFactors.
