About the Role
Space Coast Healthcare & Rehabilitation located in Merritt Island, Florida, is looking for a committed and detail-focused Human Resources Coordinator to join their leadership team. This full-time, day-shift role offers an hourly wage between $27.00 and $30.00, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-moving skilled nursing environment and have a strong dedication to employee support, regulatory compliance, and cultivating a positive work atmosphere.
Key Duties
- Oversee daily HR tasks such as onboarding, offboarding, payroll modifications, benefits coordination, handling resignations, and terminations.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and internal regulations, including the management of I-9 forms, personnel records, workers' compensation, disability claims, and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) obligations.
- Maintain compliance with the Department of Health and other relevant regulatory bodies.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process: sourcing, screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new hires.
- Keep precise and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
- Respond to employee concerns with professionalism and confidentiality, supporting staff relations.
- Drive employee engagement and morale-building initiatives, recognition programs, and retention efforts.
- Work closely with department heads to satisfy staffing requirements efficiently.
- Assist in HR audits and uphold company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in Human Resources.
- Preferred experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or healthcare settings.
- Strong preference given to candidates with union-related experience.
- Familiarity with I-9 processing, workers' compensation, FMLA, disability claims, and employee onboarding practices.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal capabilities.
- Capable of multitasking effectively in a high-paced work environment.
- Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality consistently.
