Overview

We are looking for an accomplished and strategic Human Resources Director to guide the HR operations for a dynamic healthcare organization. This role requires close collaboration with executive leadership to enhance organizational culture, cultivate talent, maintain regulatory compliance, and execute HR initiatives that benefit both staff and the organization's mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement an HR strategy that aligns with the organization's objectives and growth plans.
  • Act as a trusted consultant to executives, managers, and department leaders.
  • Handle employee relations including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
  • Lead talent acquisition, onboarding, retention strategies, succession planning, and workforce development.
  • Oversee compensation frameworks, benefits, performance management, employee engagement, and recognition programs.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local labor laws and applicable healthcare regulations.
  • Create and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook guidelines.
  • Provide leadership and growth opportunities to the HR team.
  • Analyze HR data and metrics to detect trends and advise on improvements.
  • Support organizational transformation, department restructuring, and business expansion.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and mission-focused workplace culture.
  • Manage HR systems, documentation, reporting, and personnel record accuracy.
  • Collaborate as needed with Compliance, Legal, Finance, Operations, and clinical teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field is required; master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of advancing HR experience inclusive of leadership roles.
  • Preferred experience in healthcare, nonprofit healthcare, hospitals, medical groups, or community health settings.
  • Strong expertise in employee relations, employment law, HR compliance, talent management, and organizational development.
  • Experience working with diverse and multi-location workforces.
  • Proven ability to provide counsel to senior leaders and handle sensitive employee matters with discretion and professionalism.
  • Outstanding communication, decision-making, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional certifications like SHRM-SCP, SPHR or equivalent are advantageous.
  • Experience using HRIS and applicant tracking systems is mandatory; familiarity with Workday is a plus.
