Program Overview

Join Westpac New Zealand's Institutional Banking Graduate Program starting February 2027 in Auckland. This permanent role is part of a specially crafted 12-month development journey focused on preparing future leaders. The program includes an immersive orientation and multiple rotations across Institutional Banking, Corporate Structured Finance, and Transactional Banking teams, offering rich exposure to New Zealand’s leading financial services and client engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Product, Analyst, and Transactional Banking teams to prepare credit submissions and provide industry and analytical insights.
  • Engage with customers within Institutional and Transactional Banking to support Westpac’s market success.
  • Support Transactional Banking services including domestic and international payments, cash management, and credit card solutions for clients with complex banking needs.
  • Participate in Corporate and Structured Finance to develop customized financing solutions such as project finance, acquisition finance, asset finance, securitisation, and corporate advisory.

Candidate Profile and Eligibility

This opportunity is for graduates or final-year students who have completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree within the last 12 months. Applicants must be New Zealand or Australian citizens or permanent residents. Ideal candidates hold degrees in STEM, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Management and possess strong financial analysis or business experience.
