About the Role

Join the IT Tech Office Munich, a pivotal segment of BMW Group's global Innovation and Emerging Technologies division. This unit is dedicated to early identification, testing, and evaluation of new technologies central to advancing premium automotive manufacturing. As part of this team, you will engage in cutting-edge research projects involving generative AI and technical data integration. The role empowers you to contribute from day one, bringing your ideas to life and enhancing your professional skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of proof-of-concept projects focusing on artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, and data processing.
  • Participate in the development and testing of software components within ongoing research initiatives.
  • Support the creation of microservices and technical prototypes utilizing technologies such as Python, TypeScript, and Docker.
  • Help establish data pipelines for diverse datasets including text, sensor, and engineering data while assisting in benchmark evaluations.
  • Gain practical experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform and AWS.

Candidate Profile

  • Currently enrolled in computer science, business informatics, data science, or related studies, preferably in the latter half of the degree program.
  • Proficient in programming languages like Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
  • Basic familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker), cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud), or DevOps tooling is advantageous.
  • Demonstrates a strong enthusiasm for emerging technologies and is eager to explore complex technical subjects.
  • Exhibits an organized approach to work and strong analytical reasoning.
  • Must have very good command of either German or English.
