Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Inventory Control Clerk to join our team in Clanton, AL. This role operates on day shifts from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a starting salary of $16 per hour. The position is integral to maintaining the smooth flow of products through our distribution process, ensuring both quality and accuracy in inventory management.

Role Responsibilities
- Conduct physical counts of materials, equipment, merchandise, or supplies and document inventory totals.
- Compare physical inventory to office records and reconcile discrepancies through clerical computation checks and investigations.
- Compile records of received or dispatched inventory items.
- Monitor inventory cycles and suggest improvements where necessary.
- Generate reports such as inventory balances, weekly cycle counts, and production breakdowns.
- Review and analyze daily inventory reports carefully.
- Maintain inventory shrinkage levels at or below company standards.
- Prepare lists of depleted stock and recommend surveys for defective or unusable items.
- Perform additional related duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
- A minimum of one year experience handling inventory within a warehouse setting.
- Effective communication skills with strong numerical abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and intermediate computer literacy.
- Willingness and ability to adhere to scheduled shifts and mandatory overtime.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout a shift; able to handle products weighing between 10-35 pounds routinely, and up to 60-90 pounds depending on location, at various heights.
- Capability to work in various temperature-controlled environments including coolers and freezers.
- Successful completion of a post-offer drug screening and criminal background verification.
