Role Overview

The Inventory Officer is responsible for managing stock receipt, issuing, documentation, and inventory control to ensure efficient operations across fleet and refurbishment teams. This includes monitoring stock levels and reordering to maintain optimal availability while analyzing usage patterns to minimize financial inefficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving new stock and conducting physical stock counts alongside ERP record updates.
• Issuing parts to refurbishment teams with accurate documentation.
• Managing issuance and recording of engine oil for maintenance on ERP and relevant logs.
• Tracking reorder levels, analyzing demand patterns to define reorder quantities.
• Weekly stock level review and replenishment initiation using Odoo platform.
• Overseeing stock movement and carrying out periodic physical stock reconciliations.
• Submitting purchase requests for parts and items used by fleet/refurbishment teams through Odoo.
• Monitoring stock request trends to identify fast and slow moving items, optimizing inventory financing.
• Performing additional assigned tasks to support operational goals.

Requirements

• 2 to 3+ years’ experience in mechanical, technical, fleet operations, or inventory management roles.
• Background in startups, mobility, fintech, logistics, marketplaces, or tech-driven businesses is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace applications.
• Good mathematical skills coupled with critical and analytical thinking abilities.
• Familiarity working with marketing performance, CRM, lifecycle marketing, and analytics tools.
• Strong analytical aptitude and problem-solving capability.
• Advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets and data visualization techniques.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management expertise.
• Effective multitasking and disciplined execution to handle various priorities.
• Commercial awareness and business insight.

Education

Bachelor’s degree (BSc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Finance, Accounting, Mechanical Engineering or related fields. An MBA or relevant certifications are considered advantageous.
