Job description
About the Team
The IT Services and Support group keeps the company running smoothly by delivering dependable technology support, handling vendor coordination, tracking and maintaining equipment, and steadily refining internal processes and documentation to improve the employee experience.
About the Role
In this position, you will be the main contact for resolving issues related to hardware, software, and networking. You will triage incoming support requests, work with external vendors for purchases, repairs, and upkeep, and help drive improvements to tools, workflows, and support processes.
The team is seeking someone who is service-oriented, technically strong, and comfortable identifying better ways to run IT operations. Clear communication with both technical and non-technical partners is essential, along with solid expertise in IT systems—especially macOS and ideally Windows—and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
This position is based in Bellevue, San Francisco, or New York City and requires in-office presence five days a week. Relocation support is available for new hires.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with partner teams to find opportunities to improve support workflows, help maintain repeatable processes such as onboarding and device setup, and contribute practical ideas in IT team discussions.
- Partner with teams across the organization, including Security, Facilities, and People Operations, to create smooth employee experiences and communicate issues, solutions, and timelines clearly to all stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary contact for diagnosing and resolving employee issues involving hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Coordinate with suppliers for purchasing, repairs, and maintenance while keeping hardware and software inventories organized, secure, current, and standardized.
What You Should Bring
- Deep hands-on experience with macOS, plus working familiarity with Windows, identity and endpoint management tools such as Azure AD, Jamf, and Intune, and collaboration platforms like Google Workspace, Office 365, Slack, and Atlassian products.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in a variety of settings.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot problems effectively in Mac and macOS environments.
- Experience supporting high-profile all-hands events, including managing audiovisual and technical setup for successful execution.
- A self-directed, highly motivated approach with a focus on solving problems and improving systems continuously.
- Careful attention to detail and a consistent standard of quality in day-to-day work.
- A service-first mindset and the ability to explain technical topics to different audiences in plain language.
- Comfort with process improvement and vendor coordination; added value includes mentoring junior colleagues, automating work with scripting or low-code tools, and managing IT projects.
