Overview

Smart Learn Tutoring LLC is looking for a skilled and customer-oriented IT Support Specialist to assist employees, tutors, and administrative personnel with their technical needs. The person in this role will handle diagnosing and resolving hardware and software problems, managing company technology infrastructure, supporting remote team members, and ensuring all staff have the tools necessary to provide outstanding educational services.

Key Duties

  • Deliver first-contact technical support through phone, email, chat, and remote tools.
  • Install, set up, and upkeep desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other hardware.
  • Diagnose and fix issues related to hardware, software, networks, and connectivity.
  • Create and manage user accounts, passwords, and permissions for new hires.
  • Provide support for video conferencing platforms crucial for tutoring and meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records of technology assets.
  • Execute software installations, updates, and system enhancements.
  • Record troubleshooting steps and resolutions within the IT ticketing platform.
  • Monitor system health and suggest enhancement opportunities.
  • Prepare technology resources for onboarding new employees.
  • Uphold cybersecurity and data privacy standards of the organization.
  • Support use and maintenance of cloud-based applications and productivity tools.
  • Assist with disaster recovery planning and backup processes.
  • Educate staff on technology protocols and software usage.
  • Work collaboratively with vendors to address hardware or service problems.
  • Provide after-hours emergency support when required.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Experience resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Capacity to work autonomously in a remote setting.
  • Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving aptitude.
