About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative brand designer to shape the visual identity of a new coffee roasting and events business based in the UK. The core of this project involves developing a cohesive brand, including a logo and mascot, that evokes the atmosphere of vinyl listening bars and cafés, drawing inspiration from Scandinavian and Japanese aesthetics. The ideal candidate will employ an illustration-led approach to craft a visual direction that appeals to urban, design-savvy individuals who appreciate music culture and daily routines. The collaboration will focus on refining a single concept to ensure the brand communicates subtlety and sophistication, avoiding overly loud or gimmicky visuals. Guidance will be provided through reference materials, with the possibility of continued work as the brand grows.
Deliverables
- Establish a primary illustration style that dictates the brand's visual language.
- Design a straightforward yet memorable logo or wordmark.
- Create a concept for coffee bags or sleeves that integrates the established illustration style.
- Optionally, develop supplementary icons or graphic elements to enhance the brand identity.

Requirements
- A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in brand identity, illustration, and packaging design, with a preference for experience in the music, café, or lifestyle industries.
- Proficiency in industry-standard illustration and graphic design software, such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
