About the Role

Africa Modelling Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases (AM2NTD) invites applications for a Junior Data Analyst position based in Berlin, Germany. This entry-level full-time role suits recent graduates or early-career professionals eager to engage with data analysis, uncover trends, and deliver insights that support strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, clean, validate, and organize data from diverse sources to maintain accuracy and consistency.
  • Analyze datasets to detect trends, patterns, and extract actionable business intelligence.
  • Create routine reports, dashboards, and visual data presentations for stakeholders and management.
  • Support the creation and upkeep of business intelligence reports and performance metrics.
  • Provide analytical insights and recommendations to facilitate data-informed decision-making.
  • Track and monitor key performance indicators to assess business progress.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to back operational, financial, marketing, and strategic efforts.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple teams to comprehend reporting needs and business objectives.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with governance policies.
  • Contribute to automating reports and improving data acquisition and reporting workflows.
  • Document data sources, analytical methods, and reporting procedures accurately.
  • Keep abreast of the latest data analytics tools, methodologies, and industry standards.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Fundamental understanding of data analytics, statistics, and reporting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of formulas, pivot tables, charts, and manipulating datasets.
  • SQL knowledge for querying and extracting relevant data is preferred.
  • Experience or familiarity with data visualization software like Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, or equivalent platforms is a plus.
  • Basic skills in programming or analytical languages such as Python or R are advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail ensuring data precision.
  • Effective communication skills to present data insights clearly.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet set deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred.
