About the Role

We are seeking Junior Desktop Engineers for entry-level positions based in our Brisbane office, with similar roles across Sydney and Melbourne. This position involves delivering face-to-face technical support at our TechBar, assisting end users with technology needs to provide a seamless workplace technology environment. Attendance at the client office is required five days a week as this role is fully onsite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver walk-up TechBar assistance for hardware, software, and access-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot device problems on Windows 10/11 and MacOS platforms.
  • Support device onboarding, setup, and replacements for users.
  • Provide support for Microsoft 365 applications including Teams, Outlook, and VPN tools.
  • Handle incident triage using ServiceNow or equivalent service management tools.
  • Coordinate with backend technical teams for escalations and resolution.
  • Maintain accurate asset tracking records and documentation.
  • Provide technical assistance for meeting room technology where needed.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving issues promptly and effectively.

Candidate Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in Desktop Support roles focused on Windows environments.
  • Working knowledge of MacOS troubleshooting fundamentals.
  • Experience managing users in Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 suite applications.
  • Competence in identifying and troubleshooting hardware issues with laptops and peripherals.
  • Strong communication abilities and a customer-service oriented mindset.

Additional Information

Security Clearance: Due to the sensitive nature of this position, candidates must be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents.

Shift and On-call Requirements: The role operates within managed IT services, necessitating adaptability to shift work and being on call to promptly address incidents and perform after-hours deployments. Flexibility and effective management of these duties are essential for service continuity and client satisfaction.
