Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior Engineer II for SMT & THT production lines to oversee smooth and efficient manufacturing of automotive Connector Car and Car Audio products. This role involves planning, monitoring, and improving assembly line operations, implementing new production processes, and driving productivity enhancements, all while maintaining quality and safety standards. Reporting to the Manager of Production and Operation, you will be key to ensuring delivery targets, reducing waste, and supporting new product introductions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily SMT and THT production operations, optimizing and monitoring assembly lines.
• Ensure production targets and cycle times are met through efficient manpower and process planning.
• Track and enhance key performance indicators including OEE, first pass yield, direct labor efficiency, component drop rate, and scrap levels.
• Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ESD standards.
• Collaborate with Quality and Engineering to resolve defects, deviations, and support audits.
• Participate in PPAP, FMEA, and root cause analysis to address production challenges.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, 5S, Poka-Yoke, and SMED to increase efficiency and safety.
• Improve workstation layouts and workflows to minimize cycle times and waste.
• Monitor assembly tools and automated station health, coordinating maintenance as needed.
• Support new product introductions and validate equipment performance.
• Train operators on assembly processes, safety protocols, and quality standards.
• Promote a zero-harm safety culture and supervise daily workforce performance, including contract staff.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma, Bachelor of Engineering, or Bachelor of Technology in Electronics, Electrical, or related fields.
• 3 to 6 years of experience working with SMT operations specifically in automotive electronics.
• Good understanding of PCBA manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with SAP PP/MM modules, Microsoft Office, and data reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills.
