Position Overview
We are seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to join our Brand pod and contribute to multiple projects while supporting senior design efforts. This is a remote-based full-time position, with an expectation to attend in-person meetings in London twice a month.
Key Responsibilities
- Create paid advertising creatives and social media visuals across various brands and formats.
- Develop campaign artwork from initial brief to final output.
- Design trade marketing collateral such as point-of-sale materials, shelf talkers, sell sheets, and assets for retailers.
- Produce well-crafted reports, presentations, and pitch decks that engage audiences.
- Maintain brand consistency by adhering to brand guidelines across all deliverables.
- Assist the Senior Designer on larger-scale campaigns and projects.
- Effectively manage time and meet deadlines across concurrent brand assignments.
- Bring creative insight and original perspectives rather than just executing tasks.
- Support additional company divisions, including recruitment and marketing community projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong understanding of fundamental design principles including hierarchy, balance, contrast, and use of white space.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite – specifically Illustrator, Figma, and InDesign are essential.
- Familiarity or keen interest in Premiere Pro and After Effects is a plus but not mandatory.
- Working knowledge of print production standards such as bleed, cutter guides, safe zones, and color profiles (CMYK vs. RGB).
- Excellent typography skills, including kerning, tracking, leading, and type pairing.
- Experience with Canva for creating quick turnaround assets, alongside the discernment to know when custom design is necessary.
- A portfolio that showcases thoughtful design process, highlighting original concepts over template use.
- Ability to accept constructive feedback while confidently advocating for design decisions when appropriate.
Benefits and Rewards
- Opportunity to design for exciting challenger brands in diverse industries.
- Mentorship from a Senior Designer, promoting growth and learning.
- Varied creative challenges ensuring no two weeks are the same.
- Mostly remote work with bi-monthly in-person meetings in London.
- Competitive salary ranging from £27,000 to £33,000 depending on experience.
- 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays annually.
- Monthly work-from-home allowance to spend on coffee or coworking spaces.
- Birthday day off and enhanced parental leave benefits.
- Unlimited coaching sessions through MoreHappi for personal and professional development.
- Full membership to Up World and access to a supportive work environment focused on growth.
