About the Role
The Diocesan School for Girls in Auckland is seeking a Junior School Teacher Aide to join their team on a part-time, contract basis. This role primarily supports student learning for classes from Year 0 to Year 6 during morning hours. The ideal candidate will work closely with classroom teachers and school staff, fostering a positive and inclusive environment that promotes student success.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with student learning activities within Years 0-6 classes.
- Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with classroom teachers and other school personnel.
- Approach daily tasks with a proactive, positive, and inclusive attitude.
- Work part-time during term time only, typically 4 hours per day from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in a similar position or related field involving work with children is essential.
- Demonstrate patience, warmth, and a motivated, can-do spirit.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management abilities.
- Proficient command of spoken and written English.
- Capacity to work cooperatively and adapt efficiently in a dynamic environment.
