Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking a Junior Software Quality Tester to join our team on a contract basis, located in the New York City Metropolitan Area. This role primarily involves ensuring the quality and reliability of desktop application software through various testing practices.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
- Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field, or possess equivalent professional experience.
- Possess 1 to 3 years of practical experience in Software Quality Assurance or Software Quality Engineering.
- Experienced in testing desktop-based software applications.
- Familiarity with established software testing approaches and quality assurance methodologies.
- Hands-on experience in patch testing, package testing, build validation, and installation and upgrade testing processes.
- Basic understanding of test automation tools such as Playwright or similar frameworks.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work autonomously while maintaining teamwork and collaboration.
