About the Role
Join our Client Capabilities Office based in Riyadh, where you'll be part of the Centre of Procurement Excellence for Operations. In this position, you will contribute to expanding our procurement service offerings by helping organizations achieve strategic advantages through advanced purchasing and supply chain capabilities. Your work will primarily focus on generating sustainable value through procurement optimization, covering strategic sourcing, global supplier collaboration, innovation, procure-to-pay processes, organizational design, and enhancing capabilities.
Your efforts will impact various sectors including Banking & Financial Services, Basic Materials, Consumer Goods, Retail, Pharmaceuticals, and Travel, Transport & Logistics. With over 2,300 successful procurement projects worldwide in recent years, you will be instrumental in continuing this outstanding trajectory.
Serving clients primarily in the EEMA region, this global role involves extensive cross-country and cross-industry engagements, often requiring travel to client sites. Your mission includes managing workstreams centered on category-specific procurement activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead procurement workstreams addressing specific categories on client projects.
- Provide critical insights such as spend analysis, total cost of ownership and should-cost modeling, contract assessments, supplier evaluations, and cost-saving ideas.
- Develop sourcing strategies, manage requests for quotes, and formulate negotiation plans.
- Create and maintain tracking mechanisms for procurement performance.
- Support client proposals and knowledge sharing for business development efforts.
- Contribute to building and updating procurement knowledge assets, tools, primers, case studies, and fact packs.
Qualifications and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or technology required; master's degree or MBA in operations is a plus.
- At least three years of professional experience in procurement or consulting roles.
- Hands-on expertise in sourcing, supplier management, category management, costing, negotiation, and purchase order management.
- Familiarity with e-procurement solutions including spend analysis tools, RFQ platforms, costing systems, and electronic auctions is beneficial.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and various analytics or statistical software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to identify root causes and design effective solutions.
- Comprehensive understanding of business fundamentals encompassing economics, finance, and general business principles.
- Excellent communication skills, teamwork orientation, intellectual curiosity, and strong interpersonal abilities.
