Job description
Role Overview
This position focuses on leading store operations, inventory control, and scrap management while ensuring compliance with company procedures, system accuracy, and operational discipline. The role also supports process standardisation, risk tracking, and cross-functional coordination with internal teams and external vendors.
Inventory Management
- Ensure store operations follow approved SOPs, guidelines, and controls for inventory handling and scrap processes.
- Help introduce and follow standard templates, systems, and workflows for better inventory management.
Store Operations
- Receive inbound materials and keep complete, accurate records for items procured and delivered.
- Track shelf life of inventory and support classification of items by criticality and movement, such as SMI and NMI.
Material Issuance and Deployment
- Monitor material issues to end users and ensure stock records are updated without delay.
- Maintain precise SAP entries for material issuance, procurement activity, and all inventory-related transactions.
Asset Management
- Support the identification and disposal of non-moving inventory.
- Implement scrapping or write-off of assets based on DoA approvals.
Quality Assurance
- Make sure IMS standards are followed across purchasing, storage, and billing activities.
- Support quality and regulatory compliance in day-to-day store operations.
Risk Management
- Help identify, assess, and prioritise risks related to stores, inventory control, liquidation, and disposal.
- Keep the category risk register updated.
Digital Mindset
Stay updated on digital tools and AI developments that can improve efficiency and help maintain competitiveness.
Team Development
Encourage a respectful and safe workplace, support collaboration, and mentor team members for stronger performance and growth.
Stakeholder Coordination
Work closely with internal stakeholders including the Site Techno-Commercial Head, Techno-Commercial Head, HO category management teams, Quality Departments, and Finance & Accounts teams. External interaction includes vendors and logistics providers.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Science, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required. A certificate or diploma in inventory or materials management is preferred.
Experience
Applicants should have more than 6 years of experience in stores management, inventory control, and scrap management.
