Position Overview

The Learning and Development Manager will spearhead initiatives to raise retail standards by improving sales and service quality within luxury showrooms across North America. This role involves creating and executing globally-aligned training programs that encompass product knowledge, selling protocols, and essential brand values to ensure a consistent and exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and oversee training activities and projects aligned with the retail team’s development schedule.
  • Deliver corporate training aligned with global directives to uphold Longchamp’s high standards and values.
  • Analyze retail performance data to identify training needs and provide continuous support for performance enhancement.
  • Collaborate strategically to integrate training plans with retail business goals and objectives.
  • Develop expertise in product categories and styling to enrich coaching effectiveness.
  • Coordinate on-site coaching sessions ensuring effective knowledge transfer for new hires and managers.
  • Ensure all boutique teams adhere to brand standards and procedural guidelines.
  • Maintain oversight of training completion for sales associates and management teams through field coaching.
  • Evaluate sales and service key performance indicators to guide further developmental action.
  • Conduct regular store visits for needs assessment, performance observation, and direct coaching feedback.
  • Work alongside central teams to adapt and improve training content for local market relevance.
  • Manage and update administrative tasks related to training programs.

Candidate Profile

  • At least 10 years of professional experience in retail, including roles centered on training delivery.
  • Background in luxury retail is highly desirable.
  • Willingness and availability for frequent travel within North American retail locations.
  • Strong passion for people development with an ability to motivate and influence adherence to brand values.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and capable of working independently while thriving in collaborative creative environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel) and technologically adept.
