Job description

Role Overview

The Associate Learning and Development Specialist position is based in Baltimore, Maryland, working in a hybrid-remote setup on a contract-to-hire basis. This role involves delivering both virtual and in-person instructor-led training designed to apply adult learning theories to enhance skills, foster behavioral changes, and keep learners actively engaged.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct instructor-led and virtual training sessions based on adult learning principles to enhance participant capabilities and encourage positive behavioral shifts.
  • Use business insights and feedback from post-training evaluations to refine and enhance course content and delivery methods.
  • Assist in creating and updating training documentation and materials to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
  • Collaborate with coordinators to ensure proper scheduling and smooth execution of training programs.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree (BA, BBA, BS) or similar work experience coupled with at least four additional years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proven experience in delivering both instructor-led and virtual training sessions.
  • Ability to partner with Subject Matter Experts and supervisors to gain a thorough understanding of business operations.
  • Strong knowledge and application of adult learning methodologies and delivery techniques.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) to manage and track training activities.
  • Capability to operate video editing software for training content preparation.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite applications.
  • Exceptional research skills to gather insights that inform training design and improvements.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly convey information and maintain professional interpersonal relationships.

Compensation

The role offers an hourly wage of $39.11 on a W2 basis; however, no paid time off (PTO) is included in the compensation package.
