Role Overview

The Learning Support Assistant position is based onsite in Dubai and entails full-time commitment. The role involves assisting lead educators in executing lesson plans, aiding individual and small group learning sessions, and helping children improve academic abilities as well as social and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support lead teachers by implementing lesson plans in daily classroom activities.
  • Facilitate learning for individual students and small groups, adapting strategies to meet diverse needs.
  • Prepare and organize educational materials to enhance instructional delivery.
  • Help maintain stable classroom routines and monitor student progress closely.
  • Keep detailed observation records to assist the broader educational team.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive learning environment, abiding by safeguarding policies.
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and families to align support with each child's learning objectives.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience providing assistant teaching support, including lesson plan implementation and small group facilitation.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in safeguarding children and maintaining a secure educational setting.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities to engage with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Background in special education, early childhood education, or developmental support is highly desirable.
  • Certifications or training related to education, child development, or safeguarding considered an advantage.
  • Patience, empathy, and flexibility in adapting support methods to varied learning and developmental needs.
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic or other prevalent UAE languages is an additional benefit.
