Role overview

Hard Rock Cafe in Berlin is looking for a kitchen team member who can support several areas of back-of-house operations. Even though this role is not guest-facing, it plays an important part in keeping the restaurant running smoothly and maintaining the brand’s service standards.

You may be trained across different kitchen functions, including dishwashing, prep cooking, production cooking, receiving goods, and working both the inside and outside pass.

Core duties

• Receive and order supplies, then check incoming deliveries.
• Prepare prep-kitchen recipes and production-kitchen dishes according to specifications.
• Label, date, cover, and refrigerate raw ingredients correctly for production use.
• Set up, break down, and organize workstations in the prep kitchen, production kitchen, and pass areas.
• Carry out cleaning tasks across the kitchen, storage areas, pass, and dishwashing section.
• Wash utensils, cutlery, crockery, and other items, and operate the dishwasher as needed.
• Follow hygiene, sanitation, and safety rules at all times.
• Keep products and raw materials stocked and organized.
• Sort and recycle waste wherever possible.
• Understand incoming orders from tickets or electronic systems.
• Assemble orders while checking quality and service standards.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of all menu items and ingredients.
• Handle group orders, delayed tickets, and special requests with professionalism.
• Serve food when required.
• Communicate clearly with management, kitchen staff, and front-of-house teams.
• Carry out physically demanding work that involves bending, lifting, stooping, and standing for long periods.
• Maintain a neat personal appearance and comply with uniform guidelines.
• Stay calm, organized, and focused in a busy kitchen environment.
• Work with urgency, attention to detail, and a positive attitude toward both guests and colleagues.
