Job description

About the Role

Chuck Media is producing a series of anti-bullying educational videos and requires a Junior to Mid-Level Graphic Designer to support the creation of graphic assets for animation. The designed elements will be handed over to motion graphics artists, so they must be clean, well-organised, and animation-ready. Collaboration with the lead designer and motion graphics team is essential to maintain consistent style and visual coherence across the series.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing all graphic assets such as illustrations, characters, backgrounds, layouts, titles/lower-thirds, and icons needed for 11 educational videos.
  • Interpret scripts and storyboards to translate ideas into clear, animation-ready visual elements.
  • Maintain a uniform visual style, color scheme, and illustration language throughout the project.
  • Organise and prepare files (layered, vector-based, properly named) for seamless handoff to motion graphics artists.
  • Work closely with the lead designer and motion graphics artists to guarantee assets are structured for smooth animation.
  • Implement feedback from directors and producers, delivering revisions promptly to meet production schedules.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Junior to mid-level experience in graphic design backed by a strong portfolio showcasing illustration, layout, and visual design projects.
  • Familiarity with preparing assets for animation workflows, including layered Illustrator or Photoshop files and vector artwork.
  • Capacity to sustain a consistent visual style across multiple related pieces of content.
  • Comfortable creating educational content designed to effectively communicate with teachers, students, and parents.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to produce well-structured, clean handoff files for animation purposes.
