  • Look after essential utilities such as cooling systems, compressed air, and gas supply so production is not interrupted.
  • Manage building and infrastructure maintenance, including electrical systems, and coordinate with external contractors and property owners where required.
  • Contribute to automation projects by helping design and commission upgrades, improving equipment, and supporting planning and cost estimates.
  • Work within WHSE requirements and applicable legislation, helping build a strong safety culture and delivering inductions and training.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping and food safety standards aligned to HACCP and GMP expectations.
  • Support engineering projects and fabrication work as directed by the Maintenance Manager.

Skills and experience required

  • Formal qualification in maintenance or diagnostics engineering, or an equivalent background.
  • Hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Practical knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and a CMMS, ideally MEX.
  • EWRB EAS-EST accreditation is preferred, or the willingness to obtain it.
  • Strong fault-finding ability, with good diagnostic, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Self-driven, flexible, approachable, and professional in manner.
  • Comfortable using Office 365 and capable of working independently without direct supervision.
