About the Role
HC-One is seeking an experienced Maintenance Operative who possesses strong skills in maintenance, building tasks, DIY, cleaning, and housekeeping. Candidates should have technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, with some IT knowledge being an advantage. A compassionate and considerate approach when interacting with residents and colleagues is essential.
Responsibilities include ensuring that residents' living environments are thoroughly inspected, well-maintained, and safe. This role involves performing regular audits, maintaining accurate records, and carrying out repairs such as replacing taps, mixer valves, extractor fans, repairing timber work, or wallpapering communal areas, all with a focus on care and kindness.
Staff must be vigilant about safeguarding and able to identify signs of neglect, abuse, or harm. They are expected to participate in safeguarding training and understand how to escalate concerns appropriately.
