About the Role
As a Maintenance Technician working across Medway and Gravesend, you will be essential in maintaining safe, efficient, and welcoming stores for customers and staff. You will be part of a dedicated team responsible for both scheduled preventive maintenance and responsive repairs on various systems and equipment to ensure smooth store operations. Your technical skills will be vital for quickly diagnosing and fixing problems with safety, compliance, and quality always at the forefront. This is a hands-on position requiring initiative, strong analytical skills, and a dedication to high-quality work. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate effectively with external contractors to facilitate repairs.
- Collaborate well with team members to uphold excellent service standards.
- Manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high energy levels throughout the workday.
- Support store management by ensuring all equipment and facilities function optimally.
- Plan repairs to minimize disruption to customers.
- Maintain safe and efficient store environments at all Tesco locations.
- Follow a planned maintenance schedule aiming for first-time fixes to enhance productivity.
- Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues to improve team performance.
- Perform routine store and property maintenance duties.
- Utilize mobile devices like phones and tablets for work scheduling and updates.

Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in maintenance, engineering, or construction roles.
- ONC qualification or equivalent technical certification.
- Possession of a valid full driving license.
- Strong awareness of health and safety regulations.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency with Office 365 applications.
- Confidence in using digital tools such as tablets to manage daily work tasks and emails.
- Successful completion of relevant technical training and upskilling modules.
