Job description
Role Overview
As a Maintenance Technician based in Fareham supporting Tesco stores across Southampton, you will be essential in ensuring the stores remain safe, efficient, and inviting for both customers and staff. This role involves both scheduled and reactive maintenance of various equipment and systems to maintain smooth daily operations and enhance the customer shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate confidently with external contractors to facilitate seamless repairs.
- Collaborate effectively with teammates, demonstrating quality service
- Maintain high energy while handling multiple priorities efficiently.
- Support management in keeping store equipment and facilities operational.
- Plan repair work to minimize disruption to customers.
- Follow planned maintenance schedules aiming for first-time fixes to improve overall efficiency.
- Conduct general daily maintenance of store and property.
- Utilize mobile technology like phones and tablets to optimize work tracking and communication.
- Represent Tesco’s core values by maintaining positive attitude and professional appearance.
- Participate in local and national meetings providing constructive feedback.
- Promote diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- ONC or equivalent technical qualification.
- Valid full driving licence.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Strong communication and teamwork capabilities.
- Proficiency with Office 365 applications.
- Completed relevant technical training and upskilling modules.
- Comfortable using tablets and digital tools to manage work orders and communication.
