About Cornerstone Maintenance Services

Cornerstone Maintenance Services, a member of the Associa family, is actively seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team based in Victoria, British Columbia. Since 1995, we have been providing general maintenance, repair, renovation, and round-the-clock emergency support for both residential and commercial properties. Our reputation is built on dependable services and high-quality workmanship.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform regular building maintenance tasks and repairs to upkeep properties
  • Contribute to renovation projects involving carpentry, drywall installation, water damage remediation, and door repairs or installations
  • Identify and assess problems, deciding on appropriate solutions
  • Follow both written and verbal instructions accurately
  • Keep detailed records of all completed maintenance work
  • Maintain professionalism while representing the company on client sites
  • Safely lift and carry tools and materials weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Take part in a rotating schedule for 24-hour emergency on-call duties

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Previous experience with general or building maintenance, renovations, or equivalent hands-on roles
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and have access to reliable transportation to client locations
  • Capable of working autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with adaptability to various situations
  • Basic competencies in organization, time management, and proper documentation
  • Willing to undergo a criminal record check
  • Agreeable to wearing company-issued uniforms
  • Availability to engage in on-call rotation shifts

Preferred but Not Mandatory

  • Experience specifically with door installation and repairs
  • Background in water loss remediation
  • Possession of a Red Seal certification

Applicants do not need to fulfill every criterion. Individuals with relevant practical experience who are eager to learn are encouraged to apply.

Work Schedule

  • Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Rotational 24-hour on-call shifts
  • Preferably using own work van or covered truck, as company vehicles may not always be available
