Role Overview

Player 15 Group is the sports and entertainment organization behind the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury, Valley Suns, and Mortgage Matchup Center. Based in downtown Phoenix, the company is built around enthusiasm, creativity, fresh thinking, and a people-first approach. Its teams work in a fast-moving, collaborative setting where every person helps shape fan experiences, partner relationships, and community impact.

The organization is looking for a seasoned, driven Manager of Inside Sales to build, guide, and scale the inside sales function across Player 15 Group properties. This position is responsible for increasing ticket sales revenue for entities such as the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury, and PHX Arena while also creating a strong development pipeline for future revenue leaders. The ideal hire will strengthen sales culture, deliver structured coaching and training, and lead day-to-day performance with a hands-on style.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, develop, and train entry-level sales talent while building a consistent hiring and onboarding process.
  • Create a culture focused on exceeding revenue goals, maintaining high activity levels, and supporting continuous development.
  • Design and roll out a thorough sales training program that builds product knowledge, selling skills, and overall effectiveness.
  • Hold bi-weekly one-on-one coaching sessions to mentor team members, review performance, and support career growth.
  • Maintain sales playbooks, training resources, and best-practice documents that reinforce accountability and improvement.
  • Help plan and execute ticket sales campaigns, special projects, and other strategic sales initiatives.
  • Set clear revenue targets and monitor both individual and team results closely.
  • Coach the team toward ambitious daily and weekly activity standards, offering guidance and feedback along the way.
  • Support sales appointments, meetings, calls, and game-day operations as needed.
  • Develop contests, incentives, and recognition programs that encourage motivation and strong results.
  • Maintain accurate system usage, reporting, and compliance across daily activity and outcomes.
  • Deliver a high-end customer experience that supports renewals and long-term retention.
  • Coordinate inside sales coverage and responsibilities on game days, including prospecting and networking activities.
  • Attend Suns and Mercury home games and use live events and in-game activations to connect with potential customers.
  • Support special ticketing promotions, group experiences, and fan engagement efforts.
  • Partner with teams such as Marketing, Fan Experience, and Business Intelligence to align campaigns and initiatives.
  • Ensure consultants consistently provide outstanding customer service.
  • Offer leadership, mentorship, and growth opportunities that help build the organization’s future sales bench.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned in support of ticket sales and service strategy.

Skills and Experience

  • Ability to build strong relationships and connect well with executives and premium clients.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail, with strong time management across multiple priorities.
  • High energy, self-drive, and a strong focus on revenue generation and target achievement.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay composed in pressure-filled, fast-paced situations.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to spot opportunities, interpret data, and apply effective sales tactics.
  • Comfort using CRM systems, analytics tools, and presentation software to manage performance and improve outcomes.
  • Commitment to delivering premium service and maintaining long-term client loyalty.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the flexibility to tailor messaging for different audiences.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and selected holidays based on game and event schedules.

Experience and Education

A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sports management, or a similar discipline from an accredited college or university is preferred.

Candidates should bring 3 to 5 years of experience in ticket sales or service within the sports and entertainment sector.

Work Environment

The company values an in-person, collaborative setting where employees support one another, take initiative, and approach work with a strong ownership mindset. Team members are encouraged to bring a proactive, hands-on attitude and contribute to a workplace that emphasizes growth, connection, and enjoyment at work.

  • Paid vacation, sick time, volunteer time, and company holidays.
  • 401(k) plan with company matching.
  • Employee experiences during the year, such as team offsites, catered lunches, coffee stands, ice cream trucks, and similar events.
  • Company swag throughout the year, plus employee discounts at the team shop and online store.
  • Complimentary tickets to Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury, and Valley Suns games, along with other local sporting events and concerts when available.
  • Access to on-site amenities including a full fitness center with locker rooms and showers, indoor and outdoor basketball courts, a pickleball court, a golf simulator, a putting green, an on-site cafeteria, and collaborative gathering areas.
