About the Role

The Manager of Internal Communications is tasked with shaping and rolling out a robust internal communication strategy aimed at boosting employee engagement, nurturing corporate culture, and ensuring alignment with the company's Distribution division vision and strategic goals. This position manages communication through diverse channels, promotes transparency, and advances initiatives that embody company values and the employee value proposition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute a comprehensive internal communications framework and yearly schedule reflecting organizational goals and core values.
  • Evaluate and leverage communication mediums to maximize organizational reach, engagement, and clarity of messages.
  • Establish governance protocols to guarantee consistency, precision, and alignment with corporate messaging across all communication.
  • Deliver critical information to employees promptly to bolster transparency and trust within the organization.
  • Regularly assess and refine communication strategies based on feedback and changing business requirements.
  • Champion initiatives that enhance employee engagement and uphold the company’s culture and values.
  • Create and sustain a coherent internal corporate narrative consistent with strategic plans and leadership outlook.
  • Plan and implement communication strategies for significant organizational initiatives such as cultural transformation and strategic programs.
  • Collaborate with Human Capital to facilitate employee engagement drives, recognition schemes, and change management initiatives.
  • Analyze engagement data and refine communication approaches to maximize effectiveness.
  • Supervise the production and dissemination of compelling content across platforms such as intranet, newsletters, emails, and digital tools.
  • Ensure all internal communications align with corporate objectives and branding standards.
  • Organize internal events, town halls, and leadership communication schedules that foster connectivity and openness.
  • Utilize digital platforms and innovative tools to improve communication reach and employee interaction.
  • Assess and enhance communication channel performance to boost reach and engagement.
  • Lead the internal communications team by providing mentorship, coaching, and skill development to fulfill organizational requirements.
  • Create and execute internal crisis communication protocols to deliver timely and accurate information during emergencies.
  • Coordinate with the crisis management team to ensure internal messages align with the company’s overall crisis response.
  • Serve as a strategic consultant to senior leadership on internal communication, offering recommendations and insights.
  • Promote a culture committed to continuous improvement and adoption of innovative communication practices within the team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related discipline; a master’s degree is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in internal communications, ideally in the energy or mobility sector.
  • Demonstrated success in crafting and implementing internal communication strategies.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate with multiple stakeholders including business units, Human Resources, and corporate headquarters.
